Caldeira Velha

       

Ao fim de quase 11 anos, eis que voltei ao Trilho da Caldeira Velha. A razão da ausência deve-se ao facto do trilho, na altura em que o ajudei a construir e preparar para o Campeonato Regional de Downhill, que o Milton estava a realizar, ser extremamente complicado de se fazer, com inclinações pouco recomendáveis, e foi, até à data, palco de um dos meus maiores acidentes...mas isso, são águas passadas, o trilho está muito mais fluido, agradável com boas secções a alguns saltos divertidos. Não fossem as vacas terem já destruído a parte final do trilho e a fluidez teria sido muito melhor...

After nearly 11 years absent from Caldeira Velha Trail, I finally came back. The main reason to my absence, was in fact, the degree of dificulty the trail presented at the time I help built it, when Milton was organizing the Downhill Regional Championship. So dificult that, to the date I still keep memory of one of my biggest crashes ever there...that's water under the bridge now. The trail is so flowy and fun, with some cool jumps and was it not for the cows messing up the final part, the flowiness would have been much, mucch better...
